"Our Sauce is Better Than Your Sauce" sauce

Here is your first great recipe from your new favorite website:

The lovely and gracious Pete’s Mate has a knack for getting flavors and fragrances just right (you should smell her but you don’t get to taste her). After lots of experiments, this is our favorite all-purpose sauce, great for brisket, ribs or whatever is smokin’ at your house. Try this first, then experiment with different ingredients to make your own bestest sauce. Sorry, this is not quite what we make to eat or for gifts, Pete’s Mate has a few slight additions that she refuses to make public but this is better than what you are eating now. I promise.

· 2 cups ketchup

· 2 T packed brown sugar

· ¼ cup apple juice

· ¼ cup cider vinegar

· 2 T molasses

· ½ T Worcestersherstersire sauce

· 2 tsp chili powder

· ½ tsp sea salt

· ½ tsp ground black pepper

· ½ tsp garlic powder

· ½ tsp onion powder

· 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

· Juice of most of one lemon (but not quite all)

Combine all ingredients except lemon juice and bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes or so. Let cool partially and blend in lemon juice. Place in jars and store refrigerated.

Enjoy!
